Beth Coffey

Executive Director

Beth Coffey serves as Executive Director of the Southwest Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, where she leads the Chamber's day-to-day operations, cultivates member relationships, and works closely with the Board of Directors to advance the Chamber's mission of supporting and strengthening the local business community. Since joining the Chamber in 2019 as Director of Membership Sales & Service, Beth has helped grow the organization by fostering meaningful connections and developing programs that bring business leaders together to learn, engage, and thrive.

One of Beth's greatest professional passions is creating opportunities for business leaders to learn from one another. She especially enjoys researching and recruiting thought-provoking speakers and developing educational programs that address timely issues impacting today's business community. She believes one of the Chamber's most important roles is bringing people together—not only to network, but to exchange ideas, build relationships, and strengthen the communities they serve.

Originally from Franklin County, Virginia, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Beth is a proud alumna of the University of Virginia. Her professional background includes health and safety education with the American Red Cross, leadership development and training with SunTrust Banks (now Truist), nonprofit leadership, member relations, and healthcare outreach. The diverse experiences throughout her career have equipped her with a unique blend of relationship-building, communication, and organizational leadership skills that she brings to the Chamber every day.

At her core, Beth is a connector who enjoys creating opportunities for businesses, community leaders, and nonprofit organizations to build meaningful relationships, share ideas, and support one another's success.

Beth has called the Alpharetta/Johns Creek area home for more than 35 years, where she raised her family and developed deep roots in the community she now serves. She is the proud mother of a daughter who graduated from the University of Georgia and a son who graduated from Georgia Tech. Outside of work, Beth enjoys attending live music, especially classic '70s and country concerts, experimenting with a wide variety of recipes and healthy cooking, and intentionally incorporating fitness and healthy lifestyle practices into her daily routine. She has a strong interest in health and wellness and enjoys learning about practical ways to remain healthy, active, and functionally fit throughout life.
