Hajduk steps into the role following the successful tenure of outgoing chairman Bill Diehl, an attorney at Thompson O’Brien, who helped guide the Chamber through a period of growth, engagement and strengthened community connections.

“I couldn’t be more excited and honored to be selected for this role,” said Hajduk. “This is truly a special organization and holds a special place in my heart. I love this community and am on a mission to help all of the Southwest Gwinnett businesses connect. I am grateful to Bill for his service and will continue to lean on him. We have an incredible board, and I look forward to executing on the Chamber's mission and expanding our reach.”

Reflecting on his time as chairman, Diehl shared his confidence in the Chamber’s future leadership.

“The Southwest Gwinnett Chamber is an incredible vehicle for connectivity and engagement,” said Diehl. “It has been an honor to serve as the Chamber’s chairman and to keep that vehicle moving. Through my term, my fellow board members and our executive director, Beth Coffey, have envisioned and executed great ideas for our membership. I know that Andrew Hajduk’s term as the Chamber’s chairman will grow this community. Thank you to all of you that have served this chamber and attended our events. I am looking forward to the next chapter of the Chamber’s success.”

The Chamber also welcomes the two new members to its board of directors:

  • William (Bill) B. Lyons, councilman for the City of Berkeley Lake, brings a strong background in public service and community leadership.
  • Rick Karsten, executive pastor of The Corner Gathering, offers extensive experience in organizational leadership and community engagement.

Together, the new leadership team reflects the Chamber’s continued commitment to fostering business growth, strengthening community ties and expanding opportunities for engagement across Southwest Gwinnett.
